We had a fantastic time on Öland island. The scenery was beautiful, and it was so peaceful to explore the countryside. We especially enjoyed walking along the quiet roads and discovering the charming villages. It was the perfect escape.
2# Gamla Linköping Open Air Museum
We absolutely loved our visit to Gamla Linköping Open Air Museum! It was like stepping back in time, with the beautifully preserved old buildings and cobblestone streets. We really enjoyed wandering through the different workshops and homes, getting a glimpse into what life was like in the past. It’s a fantastic place to spend a day, and we’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Linköping.
3# Vimmerby and…
We absolutely loved our trip to Vimmerby! It’s a charming town that truly captures the spirit of Astrid Lindgren’s stories. We’d highly recommend it to anyone who grew up reading her work or has an appreciation for children’s literature. It’s a fantastic experience for both kids and adults.
4# Gothenburg Museum of Natural History
We recently visited the Gothenburg Museum of Natural History and were thoroughly impressed. The exhibits were well-curated and provided a fascinating look into the natural world, from local wildlife to global ecosystems. The museum’s diverse collection, including the impressive Malm’s whale, made for a truly engaging and educational experience. We particularly enjoyed the displays on Nordic fauna, which were both informative and beautifully presented. Overall, it was a fantastic visit that we would highly recommend to anyone interested in natural history.
5# Universeum
We absolutely loved our visit to the Universeum in Gothenburg! It’s not just a museum, but a a fantastic science center that makes learning fun for all ages. Our favorite part was definitely the immersive rainforest, where you can walk through a jungle environment and see monkeys and sloths. The huge aquariums were also a highlight, especially getting to walk through the tunnel with sharks and rays swimming overhead.

6# Räntemåla Gård

We had the pleasure of visiting Räntemåla Gård fram, and we were thoroughly impressed. The farm is a beautiful and peaceful place, and we truly enjoyed our time there. We particularly liked the friendly atmosphere and the stunning natural surroundings. Räntemåla Gård is a hidden gem that we highly recommend for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

 

7# Laholm

We loved our time in Laholm! It’s such a charming town with a relaxed atmosphere. The beautiful old buildings, the scenic river, made it nice. We especially enjoyed exploring the local art scene and strolling along the riverbanks. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and picturesque getaway.

8# Dumplings in a local restaurant

We had a great meal at Ninnis Dumplingshed. We were happy to find this local gem and absolutely loved the dumplings.

9# Västerbotten cheese

We really enjoyed eating Västerbotten cheese. We loved its rich, intense flavor and crumbly texture, which makes it perfect on its own or as part of a meal.

10# Mariebergsskogen park

We absolutely loved Mariebergsskogen park! It was a fantastic place to spend the day. We enjoyed exploring the beautiful green spaces and the various animals in the park’s small zoo. It was a great experience and we’d definitely recommend it to others, expecially families.
