During our stop at the Serravalle Retail Park, we decided to try the Neapolitan pizza at Pizzium, located in the Area C Food Court, and the experience surpassed every expectation. The moment the pizza arrived, its appearance alone hinted at the care and authenticity behind it. The crust had that distinctive Neapolitan character, soft and airy at the center with a beautifully blistered edge that showed it had been baked quickly at high temperature, just as tradition requires. The aroma rising from it was rich yet balanced, carrying the scent of ripe tomatoes, fresh basil and melted mozzarella. With the first bite it became clear why Neapolitan pizza is revered far beyond its place of origin. The dough was tender and full of flavor, offering just the right elasticity as it folded naturally between our fingers. The tomato sauce tasted bright and pure, not heavy or overly seasoned, allowing the natural sweetness of the fruit to stand out. The mozzarella added a creamy softness that melted into the warm crust, creating a harmony that felt simple and refined at the same time. Every ingredient seemed to respect the others, resulting in a pizza that celebrated genuine Italian craftsmanship. The atmosphere at Pizzium contributed to the pleasure of the meal. Despite being inside a large retail complex, the restaurant managed to create a warm and inviting environment, a place where the quality of the food made time feel slower and more enjoyable. It was the perfect moment during a day of travel, a pause that combined comfort, good flavors and a sense of authenticity that is not always easy to find when eating on the go.
