El Roc de Sant Gaietà – A Night Visit

El Roc de Sant Gaietà is a small, picturesque coastal village in the province of Tarragona. Known for its narrow streets, whitewashed houses, and quiet promenade, it has a charming, almost storybook feel, especially in the evenings when the streets are calm. During our motorhome journey, we visited El Roc de Sant Gaietà at night while staying in the parking lot located just in front of Camper Area 340, where other campers were also parked. The lot’s location made it easy to reach the village on foot, even after dark, without needing to drive. Walking through the village at night gave it a very peaceful atmosphere. Streetlights highlighted the narrow lanes and the white façades of the houses, and the promenade along the water was quiet, with only a few people strolling. The village feels calm and intimate, very different from the busier coastal towns nearby. Although we only explored El Roc de Sant Gaietà at night, the visit was very pleasant and gave us a sense of its charm without the daytime crowds. Staying so close in the parking area allowed us to enjoy a relaxed evening walk and see the village from a unique perspective during our motorhome trip.
