Vilanova i la Geltrú is a coastal town in the province of Barcelona, known for its long beaches, marina, and lively town center. It is a popular destination for both locals and tourists, especially on weekends and during the warmer months. During our motorhome journey, we made a brief stop in Vilanova i la Geltrú, but we quickly realized the town was very busy. The streets were crowded, parking was difficult, and the overall pace of the town felt much busier than we were looking for at that point in our trip. Because of the crowds and limited parking options for larger vehicles, we decided to leave the town quickly and continue our journey elsewhere. Although Vilanova i la Geltrú has a lot to offer in terms of beaches, shops, and local attractions, it didn’t match the quiet and relaxed stops we prefer during our motorhome travels.
Our experience in Vilanova i la Geltrú was therefore very brief, serving only as a short passing visit. For travelers seeking calm and easy parking, it may be better to explore the nearby smaller towns or head to quieter coastal areas.
