La Colònia Güell is a small industrial village near Barcelona, famous for its historic textile buildings and the Güell Crypt. The site is an important example of Gaudí’s architectural experimentation and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage designation for his works in Catalonia.
During our motorhome journey, we stayed in the dedicated stopover area at La Colònia Güell. The experience was straightforward and comfortable. The parking area is well-maintained, accessible, and designed to accommodate larger vehicles, so we had no issues at all with space or maneuvering.
Being able to park easily allowed us to visit the village and the Güell Crypt at our own pace. The stopover’s location made it convenient to walk to the main sites while still having a secure place for the motorhome. Unlike some of the more crowded or challenging stops we experienced elsewhere, this area felt organized, safe, and calm, which made the visit more relaxed and enjoyable.
