Coma Ruga is a small coastal village along the Costa Dorada, known for its long sandy beaches and calm waters. It is part of the municipality of Tarragona and is a popular destination for both locals and travelers looking for a relaxed beach day. We have visited Coma Ruga several times, always during the day, and it has remained one of our favorite spots. The beach is wide and flat, perfect for walks along the sand, relaxing under the sun, or enjoying the Mediterranean views. Its gentle slope into the sea makes it safe and inviting, and the soft sand stretches for quite a distance, allowing visitors to find quiet spots even on busier days. Although we never stayed overnight in Coma Ruga, visiting during the day allows us to fully enjoy the beach without worrying about parking or camper facilities. The area has restaurants and small cafés nearby, but the main draw is clearly the long, sandy seafront and the relaxed atmosphere that makes every visit pleasant. For anyone traveling along the Costa Dorada by motorhome, Coma Ruga is a perfect day stop. It offers a chance to stretch, enjoy the sea, and soak in the sun without the crowds of larger tourist towns. Each visit reminds us why we keep returning to this peaceful and beautiful beach.
